There are no coincidences in our encounters in life.
Some are here to stay for a short while others for a long, long time, yet some for a fraction of a moment.
People who laugh together stay together and people who are always serious together ‘sashay away’.
I recently met an exception woman, an expert in her field, and yesterday we had a conversation about laughter, core values and menopause – as well as many other topics and I think we could have chatted for hours had it not been for dinner time approaching and the pooch jumping the sofa.
We laughed and talked and laughed some more and when I left the conversation I was uplifted and cheerful.
The truth is that many things in life are serious, and profound experiences can cause trauma and severe seriousness.
Some events and people we leave behind and blank out to never think about again, other memories may shape us more than we’d like to think.
Early events happen and we make decisions to be a certain way based on what we thought it meant and then go on to live our lives as if it was the truth – taking a child’s decision and living it as an adult.
We must grab our laughter and bring it forward so we can cope and hold onto a little bit of our sanity in this oftentimes confused, insane existence.
Laughter is what brings meaning to everything and unravels those decisions we made as children, so we can make new decisions to be strong, empowered, humane beings who stand out for the right reasons.
And along the way we may need other people and that is when they arrive on our path as if by magic.
